Cross Court Shots.

Cross Court Shots. We are always told of the benefits of hitting straight, which is true, but there are some times when a big smack across court is the way ! When you have got an easy shot at about the front third of the court, a great shot to play is the big wallop across court, that dies before it comes out of the back. This is equally true on the volley, as it is after a bounce. It is even a better shot sometimes when you make sure that your body is turned quite a long way around, so that your opponent thinks that it is going to go down the wall. Then make sure that you get it nice and wide, and put plenty of sting on it ! Also I suggest that if you do practise, practise this shot as well. We cross court all the time, and yet most routines don’t include cross courts. It is pretty easy to practise with a partner. Happy Squashing. Rob
