Responding to a Players Query

Responding to a Players Query I received an email recently which I thought would be worth sharing "I sometimes find that I'll be playing well, and will come back on court after the between sets break, and my game will fall apart completely. What can/should you do if everything starts going horribly wrong - no apparent reason?" Going off the boil between games is quite a common problem. It is good to get back on the court a little early, and hit the ball around a few times, and get in your mind what worked well, and what you want to concentrate on for the first part of the game. It isn't a bad idea to think about the game as three little games up to 3 points. That way you can give yourself a goal of getting to three points, and then quickly think about what you want to concentrate on for the next three points. This can help you keep the intensity up for the whole game. The other suggestion I would give at the beginning of a game is to concentrate on good length and no mistakes, to build your way into the game. If you have some query that you might want answered, email me. If it has some wide appeal, I might use it as a subject for a tip. P.S we have a “Top 8 for April” promotion on, so check our website or shop to see these excellent deals. Cheers ROB
