New Gear Does Make a Difference
New Gear Does Make a Difference A new season - a new beginning! Time to look at your gear and kick some of it to touch. People hold on to their squash shoes miles too long. If you play 2-3 times a week, we strongly recommend you change them at least once a year. They lose their cushioning effect long before the bottom of the shoes wear out. They also get "floppy" and don't support you around the ankles. So think about investing in some new shoes for the sake of your joints and muscles. There is benefit in changing rackets too. After a while the graphite does seem to lose its stiffness; that gives you the power. Old strings also seem to become brittle, and don't seem to have the same power. Cheers Rob
