This is the muscle that runs down the front of your shin. Itís the muscle that is responsible for lifting up the front of your foot. Sometimes people say to me I think I have got shin splints because when Iím walking the front of my shin gets sore. This is usually fatigue setting into the tibialis anterior. If the speed youíre walking at is too fast this muscle will get tired very quickly. The only way to avoid this is to slow down your speed of walking.
