Thinking You Can or Thinking You Can’t
Thinking You Can or Thinking You Can’t It’s amazing how your attitude on the day can affect your game. If you feel motivated before & during a game, you can often play well above your ability because you ‘think you can’. On the other hand if you go out there thinking you’re going to lose for whatever reason – you probably will! So, no matter who you’re playing you should always believe in yourself. Even if you’re a D grade player, up against a C grade, don’t just give up when you play a loose shot - back yourself & get ready for the next one, you never know they might fluff it completely & let you back into the game. The worse thing you can do is let your bottom lip drop & stop trying, you won’t enjoy the game & neither will your opponent. Forget that you are meant to lose, forget what grade they are, just believe in yourself & play each point to win, run for everything, stretch for everything. Give it a go, you’ll be blown away at the results & you’ll enjoy the game so much more (so will your opponent!). Happy Squashing - Dawn
